A diverse background of experience in textiles, design, sculpture, painting, and dance gives the artwork of Diana van Hall a unique style. Utilizing her talents in these varied fields she incorporates the artistic traditions of several cultures in her handmade paper pieces. Evolving into creative visual fusions, her work explores everything from the rhythm of music and dance to the use of movement and pattern in architecture. Her abstract compositions often involve a sereis of complex forms, reflecting and complimenting one another in a multi-faceted visual language.
A native New Yorker, van Hall has spent a large part of her life alternating between New York and California. She received her Master of Fine Arts from California State, Northridge. Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
